I would like to add that I have run the AVG antispyware and found nothing, could not complete the Kaspersky (sp?) online scanner, froze at 12218 files the first time and 12221 the second time. I do have service pack 2 for XP. Would also like to mention that something made my printer not work right, the computer said there was no printer installed and it was still installed according to add/remove programs, it was still there, it is a lexmark z33...I don't use the printer much but would like to have it to work. I ran the Activescan and found nothing, did the Combofix and nothing, Ccleaner and nothing. I hope this will help someone help me. I appreciate it!

Hello GOODGRIEF,

Let's look in a different place for signs.

Open HijackThis
Go to 'config'
Go to 'misc tools'
Press the button 'open uninstall manager'
Press 'save list'
A notepad file will open.
Post the content here in your reply.
Close HijackThis.

********************

NOTE: If you have downloaded ComboFix previously please delete that version and download it again!

1. Download this file - combofix.exe to your Desktop.
Note:
It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop

2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it shall produce a log for you, C:\ComboFix.txt. Post the ComboFix log, the uninstall manager listing, and a fresh Hijackthis log in your next reply.
Do NOT post the ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt - unless I ask you to.

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall
