Hi

Pleases forgive me if I have posted in the wrong forum. I have just installed Runscanner on my system. Your forum is listed as a specialist forum by the Runscanner site for dealing with requests such as this but I cannot find a RunScanner section.

Having run RunScanner I realise I do not have the skills to interpret it. There are however a number of odd and highlighted entries which might suggest something unusual.

Please could someone check and reassure me

Thank you

Terry

ps I enclose a .RUN file and a log file

Hello TerryWood and welcome to the BC HijackThis forum. It appears that Runscanner might produce some useful information, however, we do not use it for anything on this site. Most sites that assist with malware removal are standardized on HijackThis as an initial system scanning utility. If the HijackThis scan shows signs of questionable entries, other scanning/removal tools might be called for to delve deeper into the system.

If you would like a check of your system for malware, see the link at the top of the page regarding the steps to perform prior to posting a HijackThis log for analysis (under the Forum Guidelines heading). This forum only deals with malware-related issues. Other issues regarding applications, system performance, hardware performance or other issues will be directed to the appropriate forums for resolution.

Cheers.
