Can't Print With Lexmark X3450

A friend of mine installed the ink cartridge and went through the proceduresto start printing, but she keep getting the error message "cover open". She have closed and reopen and took out the ink cartridge numberous times, even unplugging and plugging it back up, unplugging and plugging it back up 24 hours or more and to no avail, nothing works :thumbsup:

I'm not familiar with that brand, but it has to have a switch somewhere that's activated when the lid's closed. Look carefully around the perimeter of the opening for a small button or pin the might contact the lid when closed. They might have knocked it loose when working on it
