I have MS OFFICE 2000.
Whenever I try to open any office application I get a message " The Office Assistan could not be started.."

I will slow down the application response and finally freeze it.

I tried the solution given in support.microsoft.com to increase the page file size, repaired Office and did everything I could do.

Please give a solution for this without needing me to uninstall and reinstall Office.
