Hello,

I notice from the log that there are running more than one different Anti-Virus programs with Auto-protect enabled. Norton and AVG
Never install more than one Antivirus and Firewall! Rather than giving you extra protection, it will decrease the reliability of it seriously!
The reason for this is that if both products have their automatic (Real-Time) protection switched on, your system may lock up due to both software products attempting to access the same file at the same time.
Also because more than one Antivirus and Firewall installed are not compatible with eachother, it can cause system performance problems and a serious system slowdown.

So you have to make a decision here and keep the Antivirus you prefer and uninstall the other one.
Then reboot after uninstalling.

Then, * Download Combofix to your desktop.
Doubleclick combofix.exe
Follow the prompts.
Don't click on the window while the fix is running, because that will cause your system to hang.

When finished and after reboot (in case it asks to reboot), combofix will open again to gather the necessary information for the log. This may take a bit. When done, Combofix will close and a log should open, combofix.txt.
Post the contents of this log in your next reply together with a new hijackthislog.
Do NOT post the ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt - unless I ask you to.

Hi,

Now I see you installed Bitdefender on top? I already explained you previously that having more than one Antivirus installed is a bad idea and you uninstalled AVG Antivirus previously and now you installed Bitdefender while you already having Norton Internet Security. This really won't work when you install programs in between..

So, make a decision here, or uninstall Bitdefender or uninstall Norton Internet Security.

Also uninstall Ewido, because this is an outdated version.

Then reboot your computer.

After reboot, I see you are running Teatimer.
I suggest you to disable it because it can interfere with the changes you'll make on your system.
When everything is done and your log is clean again, you can enable it again.
If teatimer gives you a warning afterwards that some changes were made, allow this instead of blocking it.
How to disable TeaTimer during HijackThis Cleanup
Then, Download ResetTeaTimer.bat.
Double click ResetTeaTimer.bat to remove all entries set by TeaTimer.

After you disabled teatimer, let's delete some malware related leftovers as well as some legitimate orphaned startup keys, since the attached file is not present anymore..

To do this,

* Open notepad - don't use any other texteditor than notepad or the script will fail.
Copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into notepad:

Folder::
F:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\iooi
F:\Windows\iooi

Driver::
NUWJT

Registry::
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"SmcService"=-
"Zone Labs Client"=-
"SSC_UserPrompt"=-
"PrevxOne"=-
"SiS KHooker"=-
"jmagdtnA"=-
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"msnmsgr"=-
"BgMonitor_{79662E04-7C6C-4d9f-84C7-88D8A56B10AA}"=-
"Hsoh"=-
"Cgqmxbfs"=-
"iooi"=-

Save this as txtfile CFScript

Then drag the CFScript into ComboFix.exe as you see in the screenshot below.

This will start ComboFix again. After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), post the contents of Combofix.txt in your next reply together with a new HijackThislog.

Can you also tell me what this is?:

F:\Documents and Settings\user13\Desktop\TO BE ORGANIZED ---\TO BE ORGANAIZED\engine.sys

I launched ResetTeaTimer.bat and pressed "any key" to activate it, and Norton Antivirus popped up saying
"Malicious Script Detected
Object: FileSystem Object
Activiy: Create TextFile

File F:Documents and Settings/user1/Desktop/GetPaths.vbs

Action: Stop the script(recommended)

What should I do?

p.s. Bitdefender was already installed, I'm not sure why you didn't notice it the first time. And btw, I don't know the difference between antivirus, firewalls or anything like that so I wouldn't have known to uninstall it.

Hi,

Well I didn't see Bitdefender present in your very first log though..
Actually, if I were you, I would keep bitdefender and uninstall Norton since Bitdefender is better in detection and doesn't cause such a system slowdown as Norton does.

I launched ResetTeaTimer.bat and pressed "any key" to activate it, and Norton Antivirus popped up saying
"Malicious Script Detected
Object: FileSystem Object
Activiy: Create TextFile

File F:Documents and Settings/user1/Desktop/GetPaths.vbs

Action: Stop the script(recommended)

What should I do?

No, do not stop the script, because it's the script from Teatimer and is OK.
It may also be better to temporary disable Norton scriptblocking as it may interfere as well with Combofix and block some scripts there.
To disable Norton scriptblocking..

* Disable the Script Blocking Service:
  • To open Services, click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. Double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Services.
  • Find ScriptBlocking services, Right-click the service, and then click and then click Properties. On the General tab, under Startup, click Disabled.
  • Under Service Status, click Stop button. Click Apply button.
* Disable the Script Blocking In Norton Settings:
  • Start Norton Antivirus.
  • Click Options. If a menu appears when you click Options, then click Norton Antivirus. The Norton Antivirus Options dialog box appears.
  • Click Script Blocking.
  • Uncheck Enable Script Blocking (recommended).
  • Click OK
You can reenable it afterwards when everything is clean again.

Then proceed with the rest of my steps...
