Hiya. I'm luvsango and I'm new here, although I know how to use Hijackthis.

In the add/remove programme, there is an unwanted programme called ContentSAFER for wizmax, which I haven't installed. There's also a Samsung programme called 'Lyrics Station' (I think the ContentSAFER is related to Samsung from what I've heard) which I can't remove for some reason, because as the process of removal was processed, from 0% it would stop working and say 'maintainance complete!'

My internet is not working any more, it would close down automatically when I try to open it, so I have to use Mozilla Firefox for now. Hijackthis doesn't have any information on this problem either, and Ad-aware SE or Kill-box can't treat it. So if anyone does know how to add/remove this, please inform me!

P.S. There is a file called C:\WINDOWS\system32\efcawut.dll, and in Hijackthis it once informed (it doesn't inform me any more about it, but this file's still there) there was a back-up to it every time I tried to delete it, help!

Don't worry about taking a while, take as long as you need; I'm not going anywhere.

Using My Computer, navigate to where you have HijackThis saved.
Right-click on the HijackThis.exe file.
Select "Rename", call it fluffybunny and press enter.
Use fluffybunny.exe from now on.

Then post a new log.
Thanks,
Charles
