ok so I built an AMD 6000+x2 with 2 RAM Vista 64 computer in June, and now I want to upgrade my RAM to 4 gb and get a new video card, I don't want to spend more than $250-300 on the video card I just want a decent one to play video games like flight simulator x, and Lost Planet, any suggestions on a good video card that could do the job?? thanks!

Interesting that you should mention Lost Planet and Flight Simulator X, since those are amongst the heaviest games out there. For $300 you should be able to get a GeForce 8800GTS 320MB.

There is a huge performance increase from the 8600GTS to the 8800GTS. To give you a rough estimate: The 8500GT has 16 stream processors, the 8600GTS has 32 stream processors, while the 8800GTS has 96 stream processors (the 8800GTX has 128). No manner of overclocking is going to make up for that lack of hardware.
