Please download CWShredder but don't run it yet.
http://cwshredder.net/bin/CWSInstall.exe

Download Ad-aware SE from: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download506.html

Install the program and launch it. First, in the main window, look in the bottom right corner and click on Check for updates now and download the latest reference files. Exit Adaware for now.

Make sure that you can view all hidden files. Instructions on how to do this can be found here:

How to see hidden files in Windows

Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then close all other windows--you should only see HijackThis on your Desktop--and click the Fix Checked button.

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode

Now run CWShredder, making sure to click "Fix".

Then delete these files or directories (Do not be concerned if they do not exist)

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\ADDXC.DLL
C:\WINDOWS\exgxx.dll

Delete temp files

Navigate to the C:\Windows\Temp folder. Open the Temp folder and go to Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.

Navigate to the C:\Windows\Prefetch folder. Open the Prefetch folder and go to Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Prefetch folder.

Go to Start > Run and type %temp% in the Run box. The Temp folder will open. Click Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.

Finally go to Control Panel > Internet Options. On the General tab under "Temporary Internet Files" Click "Delete Files". Put a check by "Delete Offline Content" and click OK. Click on the Programs tab then click the "Reset Web Settings" button. Click Apply then OK.

Empty the Recycle Bin

Run a full scan with Adaware.

Reboot your computer to go back to normal mode and post a new log.

Failing to respond back to the person that is giving up their own time to help you not only is insensitive and disrespectful, but it guarantees that you will never receive help from me again. Please thank your helpers and there will always be help here when you need it!

I merged your latest posted logs with your original thread (Topic). When you post follow up logs, please stick to the same thread. Just click the reply button to the original Topic. Do not create a new topic for your reply. This will cause confusion and a delay in the help you are receiving. And please have some patience--we will get back with you as soon as we can.

If you have problems finding your original thread, check your email for a link to it or click on My Topics at the top right of any bleepingcomputer forum page. Thanks!

I have one question for you tho. Is this log, dated 12:53:31 PM, on 2/3/2005 and posted, Feb 3 2005, 12:58 PM from the same computer as the other logs you've posted? If it is, let me know and I'll split it back off to its own topic. Any time you post logs from different computers, put that in the Title of the Topic so we can avoid any more confusion, please.

Buckeye will get back to you as soon as he can. And please wait for an answer before posting another log.

Is in the hands of fools

yes...all logs are from the same computer. I may have sent logs to two different forums it seems, but you guys are redirecting them to where they belong. Sorry for any confusion, but this computer has become very difficult to control. Thanks again.

Well I can see how it must be difficult to control. There's a lot of differences in those two logs posted less than two hours apart. That means you still have a lot of active trojans still on your system.

Click Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs and uninstall this program if listed.

New.net Application
or
New.net Domains

If neither is listed, download and run this tool.

http://www.new.net/support/uninstall6_38.exe

Please make sure that you can view all hidden files. Instructions on how to do this can be found here:

How to see hidden files in Windows

Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then close all other windows--you should only see HijackThis on your Desktop--and click the Fix Checked button.

Now delete the entire contents of this folder, but not the folder itself.

C:\WINDOWS\TEMP

Reboot your computer to go back to normal mode.

Please run these two online scans.
Make sure they are set to clean automatically:

If there are files that can not be removed by the scans please include that information in your next post.

Reboot once more and post a new hijackthis log.

After running housecalls.trendmicro.com there were two files that were unable to clean. TROJ AGENT .KG FOUND IN C:\windows\ system\addxc.dll.
TROJ AGENT .JR found in C:\windows\system\addtr32.exe

Pandasoftware scan found nothing. Also, on the HJT screen where I was last asked to check the boxes and Fix, many of the lines were not there to check. Mostly 04-HKLM lines.

Your log looks much better now. How are things running?

Download(right click and select Save file as or Save link as): DelDomains.inf
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/DelDomains.inf

To use: Close all open browsers
Right-click DelDomains.inf and select: Install

This should remove those 015 entries.

Reboot and post a new hijackthis log.
