Hello Friends,

I have spent a bunch of time over the last few days resolving my VirusProtectPro problem. I was succesful in large par because I read posts on Bleepingcomputer. Thanks! What a great community!

Now Norton Antivirus tells me I have Trojan.Packed.25 and Hacktool, and it fails to remove them. What do I do?

What I have done as part of removing VirusProtectPro:

1. Ran SmitFraudFix

2. Ran Ad-Aware

3. Ran Spybot Search and Destroy

4. Bought Norton SystemWorks and did full system scan. This is where I ran into the problem listed above. I have also ran this in safe mode and got the same results.

What do I do now?

Thanks!

Phil

You can try to remove this using an online scanner, such as trend micro's housecall.
The name says it all -- 59 and holding permanently
