I have XP, started having popups constantly for winpro2007?. Downloaded and ran AVG spyware and virus. I deleted 307 spywares and a dozen or so viruses (I had never done spyware before and the comuter is 4 years old). Anyway, I now have NO control panel icon in start menu, I can't (it won;t let me) do a system restore, I can't remove programs. The message I get when I click Program access and defaults is: This request has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on your computer. Please contact system administrator. Well, this is a personal computer not on any LAN and I am the "system administrator" if I understand what that is correctly. I downloaded and ran HIjack this and don't know what or if I should do anything with it. There are some weird things on it, though. Please help! Thanks.

Install Super Antispyware. Run it in safe mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

Run the online scan for Bit Defender in normal mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.
