Hi all
Is it possible to install a Eide harddisk on to a Sata compatible motherboard . Or do I need one of those USB enclosures.
Cheers Vomog1

you should have at least one ide connection on any newer motherboard(support 2 drives), it's probably better to save this for
optical drives, the external enclosure idea gives some flexibilty for transporting files and moving to other computers tho.

Another option is a cheap non-raid controller card

No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try.
