Limewire Wont Uninstall

I got this message? Every time I open a program it tries to open Limewire but I've already removed this program from my computer. How do i get it to stop?!! Not to mention that I had like 1000s of files that I didn't download in my folder..my computer got really slow and was freezing up.

It sounds like an incomplete uninstall of Limewire.
How did you uninstall it?
Did you use Add/Remove, or did you use uninstall.exe from the Limewire program file folder?
Have you tried reinstalling, then uninstalling Limewire?

.... 1000s of files that I didn't download in my folder .....

What are the names, of some of these files.
You might have picked up a virus.

yes i did use add/remove. i think it may have been some spyware. i took care of it with a firewall and anti virus software. thanks! my computer was loaded with crap
