Error Box Pop Up Every Time Opening Internet Explorer.

i got a laptop with windows xp media centre edition installed and now facing some problem with it. every time i try to open internet explorer or mostly microsoft software it will crash. an error box with following information will pop up when i open internet explorer

dwwin.exe- application error

the instruction at "0x7c883fb5" refrenced memory at "0x7883fb5". the memory could not be written.

click ok to terminate the program
click cancel to debug the program

others software will get an error box saying that it facing some error and need to close or debug.

any one got anything in mine what is going on? i don want to format this computer because it got many important assignment inside...thanks for the help in advance...
