Theres two annoying taskbar icons that keep popping up and telling me that i need to download some anti virus programs. Well i know that the anti viruses that they want me to download are fake and a scam. So i searched for where the location in the drive it came from. I found one location and deleted the file which was "AntiVirus Pro 3.6". That was in the start up files. Still the annoying taskbar messages didn't disappear so then it was time to bring in Norton and spybot S&D they scanned my computer and found some Viruses and deleted them, then i restarted and guess what happened, THE TASKBAR ICONS DIDNT DISAPPEAR. So then i went to "run" and typed in msconfig on the StartUp Files and i tried to find the icons on there but it wasn't there. So then i came to this website downloaded SmitFraudFix.exe and still the TASKBAR ICON DIDN'T DISAPPEAR. Its very annoying. Does anyone know how to stop it and get rid of it.

Heres a screenshot!

Seems like you're infected (nothing like pointing out the obvious!).

I'd suggest that you post in our HJT area. Read the topic Preparation Guide for use before posting a HijackThis Log. Be sure to follow all the instructions, as it'll help with cleaning your computer.

Be sure not to make any changes, or ask for help while you are receiving help in the HJT area (or even while you are awaiting help).

Good luck!
