trying to get rid of some IE stuff I am seeing on the computer. Many IE popup windows coming up on their own. When shutting down the machine I am told that "shellconhiddenwindow.exe" and "winpop.exe" are not responding. The cable companies' antispyware (authentium) program tells me that these files were found but not able to be deleted:

w32/downldr2.alux
downldr2.aypp
downldr2.ajx6

Any help would be appreciated. Below is the hijack this log for the computer:

Welcome to the BleepingComputer HijackThis Logs and Analysis forum marky1b
My name is Richie and i'll be helping you to fix your problems.

First of all you've no virus protection installed.
Download\install one of the following freeware options from the choice below.
Once installed update its definitions and then run a full system virus scan.

AVG7 Free Edition Antivirus:
http://free.grisoft.com/softw/70free/setup...ree_446a965.exe

Avast! 4 Home Edition:
http://files.avast.com/iavs4pro/setupeng.exe

Avira AntiVir Personal Edition Classic
http://www.free-av.com/

---------------------------------------------------------

Download DelDomains.zip and extract/unzip it to your desktop:
Now right click on Deldomains.inf then click on 'Install'.
After right clicking on Deldomains.inf 'Install' it will have appeared nothing happened, this is normal.

---------------------------------------------------------

Download Combofix and save to your desktop:
Note:
It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop

Close any open browsers.
Double click on combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When it's finished it will produce a log.
Post the entire contents of C:\ComboFix.txt into your next reply.
Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running.
That may cause the program to freeze/hang.

Do NOT post the ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt unless I ask.

---------------------------------------------------------

Now go to:
C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe
Right click on Hijackthis.exe and select 'Rename', rename it to abc.bat
Double click on abc.bat(which is still Hijackthis.exe),post that log into your next reply please.

Also post a new Hijackthis log.

Ok, I am pasting the logs from both combofix and hijack this in here. THe only problem is that the antivirus software kept popping up windows during the scan. Otherwise this seemed to run ok.

Copy and paste ALL the following blue text in the Quote box below into Notepad.
Click on File(in the menu at the top)>Save as../Save as Type: 'All Files' /File name: CFScript to your desktop.

File::
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\stutv.ini2
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\sohuhese.exe
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\stutv.bak2
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\vtuts.dll
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\stutv.bak1
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\mljjgdc.dll

Registry::
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\~\Browser Helper Objects\{3964D8D6-86D0-493A-B460-A805B5401114}]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\~\Browser Helper Objects\{E2F5C652-31EA-43CA-A101-ACE22407D1F9}]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ShellExecuteHooks]
"{3964D8D6-86D0-493A-B460-A805B5401114}"=-
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\winlogon\notify\mljjgdc]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\winlogon\notify\vtuts]

Now drag then drop the CFScript file onto ComboFix.exe as seen in the image below.

This will start ComboFix again.
After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), post the contents of Combofix.txt in your next reply along with a new HijackThis log.

ok, i followed all the latest steps. a few things to note: outlook is now not working (says mapapi32.dll is missing or corrupt); also there are now no programs listed under start->programs; finally, ie and other shortcuts from desktop no longer work, but ie does run from its location in the system.

However, no more virus warning messages.

the logs are pasted in below. thanks...

Once the updates have been installed, exit SuperAntiSpyware.

Have Hijack This fix the following by placing a check in the appropriate boxes and selecting 'Fix checked'.

Superantispyware will now scan your computer, when it's finished it will list all/any infections found.
Make sure everything found has a checkmark next to it,then press 'Next'.
Click on 'Finish' when you've done.

It's possible that the program will ask you to reboot in order to delete some files.

Obtain the SuperAntiSpyware log as follows:
Click on 'Preferences'.
Click on the 'Statistics/Logs' tab.
Under 'Scanner Logs' double click on 'SuperAntiSpyware Scan Log'.
It will then open in your default text editor, such as Notepad.
Copy and paste the contents of that report into your next reply.
Also post a new Hijackthis log,let me know how your pc is running now.

UPdate: here's where I am right now...when I try to download SuperAntiSpyware I get this message:

"Installer Information.....Internal Error 2103.23"

after closing this I see:

"'Fatal Error.....Installation ended prematurely because of an error."

I haven't fixed the empty start menu yet by editing the registry. Still reading up on that before I take the plunge.

Thanks...
