im just suspicious about my firefox 2.0.0.6 browser getting lags.. its a bit annoying, but even more frightening if someone's breaching my computer with possible keyloggers. i know they're suppose to be invisible from the usual programs which is why i decided to use my hijackthis app. please enlighten me as to what my log says..thanks!

Hi black.star,

Your log tells me that you are malware free and your posts tell me you worry too much. :flowers: You have your system protected well, altho you still should choose between AVG and BitDefender and uninstall the other, and from what I've read of your earlier HijackThis topic, you appear to be cautious enough that it's not likely that you will get infected any time soon. Of course you and I don't want to have a keylogger on our system, so some worrying is a good thing, but take my advice and don't read into any minor problem on your system that you might have a keylogger. That's no fun.

There could be many reason that Firefox becomes laggy--it has memory leaks, especially with some extensions, you might need to clear the cache, your CPU could be working hard at other tasks, etc. Keyloggers don't even enter into the picture, especially if there is no sign of activity in your firewall logs.

those "extra tools" mentioned above are very questionable

Those are just Interent Explorer toolbar buttons and menu items added by Programs you have installed and nothing to worry about.

Next time you get suspicious, please start a new topic in the Am I infected? What do I do? forum. There we will be happy to determine if thereis something you should be worried about and you will get a quicker answer. Helpers in this forum are focused on finding logs that show people need help with malware removal and there are a lot of them, so topics like yours get passed over until later. So we don't want you to have to wait like that again.

The thing about people

is they change

when they walk away.--Mipso
