I got my high speed internet bill with an extra charge for usage over 10,000mb (15K) I didnt download anything, one roomate sais he download a few albums and the other sais he didnt download anything. So is there anyway I can find out how much each computer downloaded? All run XP home edition.

Thanks in advance

There's no easy way to do this without installing monitoring software on each system (and then scanning the logs on a regular basis) - and this won't help with problems gone by.

I'd suggest upping the rent of each roommate to cover the extra charges.

If you are running a wireless router you may have a few neighbors tapping your connection. Make sure your Wifi connection is secure.

We do have a wireless router, so the problem might be there. Two of the three computers are mine so it is possible to monitor them (one of the roomies is my husband) The other roomie did agree to pay the extra charge, but it's not really fair if it's not him bumping up the charges. Are there any safe monitoring programs? Thanks

Add security to the wireless router to help to foil the bandwidth thieves:
