I am having issues with windows media player. I click on the icon and it states that it isn't installed properly and if I want to install from the website. when I download from the website and try to install I get the following error:

setup_wm.exe - Application Error

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150004). Click OK to terminate the application.

Can anyone help me out????

I see you have an open HJT log posted in the HijackThis Logs and Analysis forum. You can find it at this link: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/103710/0xc0150004-error/
You shouldn't make any changes to your system, while your HJT log is posted, as that could change the results of the posted log, making it difficult to properly clean your system.
At this point, the HJT Team should be the only members that you take advice from, until they have verified your log as clean.

I am closing this topic until you are cleared by the HJT Team.
If, after your log has been cleaned, you still need help, please PM a Moderator and we will re-open this topic.
