I got here in an attempt to get rid of a pesky virus. I can't tell you a lot about myself. I started out with an Apple about 15 years ago and have been wandering around inside computer ever since.
I hope you will all show pity on me and give me a helping hand.

Hi Powellic and welcome to BC.

We are glad you have joined us and are happy to help.

Please click here to download HijackThis. Instructions are easy and fast. This program is
vital in detecting any problem, virus, spyware, etc...

Once you have downloaded and installed the program, which is entirely free and safe, post the log here.

Welcome to BC!
Since the HJT folks are volunteers and---as you can see---always busy, it might be a short while before someone can help you, but be patient. In the meantime, if you have not already done so, install, update, and run Ad-AwareSE and Spybot Search and Destory. Both are excellent programs to help you rid your computer of spyware.
There are excellent tutorials, also, on computer security best practices.
Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one should be silent.
