I have a problem with my laptop (no administrative rights), and can't log in. I a mgetting a winlogon.exe application error. I am able to install a boot disk and get to regedit--can I restore the original registry settings?

Any help is appreciated.

Grinler,

Thanks fo rthe link--actually the ERD allowed me to get to a restore point without adminstrative rights. Hopefully it will be good now. I posted a new log on the other topic.

Thanks again for everything.
