Xp Desktop Problem

Noticed this blue square in the top left corner of my desktop. Figured out that I could drag them down. Have no idea what they are, does anyone have a clue? Here are two pictures #1 is of where I found them and #2 is of them pulled down.

If you click on the icon and press 'alt' and 'F4' does it go away?

It's hard to say for sure. But it looks like a window that is buggy and for whatever reason you can only see a little part of it. Does it show up often or just that once?

The next time that they show up, open up Task Manager to the Processes tab. Then when you use Alt-F4 to kill it, try to see what process ends (it's a bit tricky so it may take several tries). That'll tell you what the misbehaving program is.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
