this may be a silly question but i'm very new to this. here's my problem. i've been following your tutorial on removing malware. i was doing pretty good at locating and deciding which programs are harmful and which are not with the autoruns program until i came to this:

HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Desktop\Components
0 File not found: About:Home

autorun entry: 0
description: (empty here)
publisher: (empyty here)
Image path: File not found: About: Home

i've entered all the information correctly in the startup database but i don't get anything helpful. what exactly is this??? if there isn't a file found, then why would it show up as a start up program? thanks in advance!

May be a leftover from something else. You can safely remove that 0 entry.
