hi...

i've been going nuts trying to figure out how to get rid of all these popups...
- currently running trendmicro pc cillin (updated daily)
- even downloaded Security Task Manager and it identifed a few potential dll threats (as follows)
- iifcabc.dll (browser extension)
- pmnnk.dll (browser extension)
- jhplkvui.dll (browser extension)
- iifcabc.dll (monitors program starts)

i keep getting popups for winantiviruspro 2007, system doctor and other shady websites... ALT-F4 doesn't even work on them, so i'm forced to close them by clicking X...

i even tried going into the registry myself and searching for these dlls and trying to remove them myself, but it wouldn't even allow that...

please help... here is my hjt log...

Welcome to the BleepingComputer HijackThis Logs and Analysis forum danxp
My name is Richie and i'll be helping you to fix your problems.

Download Combofix and save to your desktop:
Note:
It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop

Close any open browsers.
Double click on combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When it's finished it will produce a log.
Post the entire contents of C:\ComboFix.txt into your next reply.
Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running.
That may cause the program to freeze/hang.

Do NOT post the ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt unless I ask.

Now go to:
C:\Program Files\HijackThis\HiJackThis.exe
Right click on Hijackthis.exe and select 'Rename', rename it to abc.bat
Double click on abc.bat(which is still Hijackthis.exe),post that log into your next reply please.

hi...

i was able to get rid of all of the popups and a number of other problems i was having before you replied, so i didn't check until now... i am now having connection problems on my desktop... i have another machine which i'm replying from...

i already ran
- vundofix.exe
- sdfix.exe
- combofix.exe
- avg antispyware 7.5

having done all of these seemed to get rid of the malware...

i just ran combofix again and hijackthis (renamed to "findbadstuff") again to produce the following logs:

combofix log:

hi...

i tried your instructions and it didn't seem to work...

the fix.reg file didn't seem to remove the jkkjg registry entry, so i went into the registry myself and deleted it manually... rebooted and didn't work... did the cleanmgr and the netsh winsock reset ... rebooted and still didn't work...

i tried a few other things that i read from other forums... such as...
- uninstalling the wireless adapter from the device manager, then rebooting and having it reinstall... (didn't work)
- downloaded winsockxpfix.exe and ran that and rebooted... (didn't work)
- reinstalled the driver for my wireless network card from us robotics and rebooted... (didn't work)

here's my hijackthis log:

Download and run Fixwareout from the link below:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe
After the reboot post the contents of the logfile C:\fixwareout\report.txt in your next reply.

Go to Start>Control Panel, and choose 'Network Connections'.
Then right click on your default connection, usually 'Local Area Connection' or 'Dial-up Connection' if you are using Dial-up,then left click on 'Properties'.
Double-click on the 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)' item and select the radio button that says: 'Obtain DNS servers Automatically'.
Click OK twice,restart your computer.
