Media Center Receiver Service

I went home this past weekend and everything on my laptop was fine...when I got back to my apartment my Wireless internet wasn't working, so I am hooked up directly to my modem for now. I doubt any of this is relevant, but my computer was running perfectly fine over the weekend.

Anyway, when I turned on my laptop for the first time since I've been back it was going very very slow. Every 2-3 minutes, a Windows Error pops up reading "Media Center Receiver Service has encountered a problem and needs to close."

I have no idea what to do...I just had to buy a new hard drive from Dell like 3 months ago...I'm so sick of this laptop.

maybe do a full reinstall of windows on your computer? or use windows restore? maybe
