My Graphics card stopped running 3D games and freezes the machine so I got a basic card to test. It was even locking up on a Benchmark 3D test. If I get a graphics card that has a core clock of 400MHz, would it run okay with my motherboard of a FSB of only 333MHz? I want to make sure before I buy it.
I need something to be able to play 3D games, but fairly cheap. I'm looking at this:
POWERCOLOR R96-D3G Radeon 9600PRO 256MB 128-bit DDR AGP 4X/8X Video Card

My old card was:
NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4200

1. Would this Raedeon work on my machine?
2. If so, would it perform better than the GeForce4 Ti 4200 card?

Yes, that card should work in your motherboard, and yes it will be faster than your older card.
