Of course I don't know if Vista is the issue or not. The other day I received my new computer tower from Dell, which came with Vista. 4 times now i've had issues with it,with "crashing" which i'll explain. Pretty much happens out of no where, where I could be just searching the internet, looking over my computer... where outta no where the screen turns black, though I still can move my mouse around. say if I had any programs/files minimized which would be located on the bottom of the screen, when this happens with the black screen, all those files that were minimized on the bottom of the screen, appear at the top of the screen.

First couple of times I didn't have a choice but shut the computer down the incorrect way, then restart again. After that I decided when this happens again just to press ctrl, alt and delete. which I did that then when it happened again, where it'll take me to another screen then where I have options to choose from like lock computer, switch users, log out..So i clicked on log out where it takes me to my screen to type in my password to enter windows again. After I do that, windows comes up just fine as if nothing even happened and I go from there. Like I said its a once in a while thing that happens, not every 5 mintues or so. I just wonder if its still a vista bug, that people seem to complain about lately that Vista still has bugs that needs to be worked out.

I haven't heard of this Vista bug before. There could be a problem with the graphics card or it's drivers.

Go to Start and type in "reliability". At the top of that dialog will appear the Performance and Reliability Monitor - click on it. When it opens, click on the Reliability Monitor in the left hand pane - in the right hand pane will be a listing of issues with the system. Try clicking on the red x's to find information about the errors that you've been experiencing. Post back here with the technical info that you find and we'll see what we can do.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
