Hi folks, I am new to posting so please be patient with me. I am trying to set up a dual boot on my laptop which came with Vista already installed. I started by following www.apcmag.com/5458/dualbooting_vista_and_xp instructions. I couldn't get Gparted to work but thanks to your forum posts I have worked round that. I have installed XP and have now got to the part where I need to restore the Vista bootmgr. My problem is that I simply can't do as everyone suggests because I can only boot to XP and I have no Vista DVD. I have tried using the Vista recovery disc I created but it was no help. I have looked high and low for a solution so please help me.

Hi senachal, welcome to BC.
Might want to use a utility like Vista Boot Pro (a freebie). This one requires .net 2.0 be installed first however.
