Trying to build a low-end computer (first time). Everything is connected correctly (or so it appears). When powered on the fans work, there is power to the motherboard and the Windows disk sounds like it's spinning in the drive. But we cannot get any monitor to work (tried two different ones).

Here is the parts list that was purchased from Newegg:

MB ASUS M2A-VM AMD690G AM2
CPU AMD|A64 X2 4800+ 2.5G AM2 65N R
MEM 1Gx2|PATRIOT 240P PDC22G6400LLK
CASE APEX | TX-346 BLK/SIL 300W RT
HD 250G|WD 7K 8M SATA2 WD2500JS
DVD BURN LITE-ON|LH-20A1S OEM BK
MS WIN XP PRO W/SP2B SINGLE PACK

Any suggestions on what to do or check would be greatly appreciated!
