Hi,

Today I have accidently installed this terrible malware on my computer.
It's called IExplorer Security Plug-In, and I cann't remove it from my computer (when I try to remove it using the "Add or Remove Programs" page I get this message that I need to reboot my computer in order to uninstall the program. But, unsuprisingly, after I try this and restart nothing happens and the program is still there).
So what does it do?
It slows down my computer and my network connection. Also, I think it tries to report about malware on my computer (fake ones I guess) and then recommend me on anti-spyware programs to use/download. There is also an icon in the taskbar and when I click on it Internet Explorer is being launched with the following URL: http://www.virusprotectpro.com/?aff=1012.

What have I tried to do till now?
I ran AVG Anti Virus (which discovered nothing) and Spybot Search & Destroy (Which discovered several malwares but has failed to remove one of them - "Product: Zlob.VideoActiveXAccess Threat: Trojan").
This haven't solve my problem.

Attached below is my log from running HijackThis.
I would really appreciate it if you could help me with this issue, so I would be able to remove this program from my computer.
Thanks in advance,
Yaron Aberbleepz.

Welcome to the BleepingComputer HijackThis Logs and Analysis forum yarona
My name is Richie and i'll be helping you to fix your problems.

Please download Combofix and save to your desktop:
Note:
It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop

Close any open browsers.
Double click on combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When it's finished it will produce a log.
Post the entire contents of C:\ComboFix.txt into your next reply.
Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running.
That may cause the program to freeze/hang.

Do NOT post the ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt unless I ask.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri), to your desktop.
Double click on Smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option 1 Search, by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy and paste the content of that report into your next reply.

*IMPORTANT*
Do NOT run any other options until you are asked to do so!

Also post a fresh Hijackthis log.

Hi Richie

Thanks for your fast reply and your help.
I think it worked
I don't see the program in my "Add or Remove Programs" page and also the icon has gone.
Internet seems to work fine.

I added the logs in the end of the reply.
How should I proceed?

Thanks again,
Yaron Aberbleepz.

Here are the logs:

Reboot your computer into SAFE MODE using the F8 method.
To do this, restart your computer and after hearing your computer beep once during startup (but before the Windows icon appears) press the F8 key repeatedly.
A menu will appear with several options.
Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate and select the option to run Windows in "Safe Mode".

Double click on Smitfraudfix.cmd
Select #2 and hit Enter to delete the infected files.
You will be prompted: 'Do you want to clean the registry?' answer Y (yes) and hit Enter in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.
The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found): 'Replace infected file ?' answer Y (yes) and hit Enter to restore a clean file.
A reboot may be needed to finish the cleaning process.
The report can be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Post the smitfraudfix report, and a new Hijack This log into your next reply.
Let me know how your pc is running now please.
