Desktop Dimmer?

Is there anything i can download for free to dim the brightness of my desktop while im watchin a movie on my laptop? thanks in advance for any help

Whatever software you're using to play the DVD probably has options for brightness adjustment.

Or just turn the brightness down on the monitor.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

no i dont want to darken the whole screen, just the area behind where the picture is been shown, if you know what i mean?
