Last night I wasn't able to click on any of the items on my desktop and when I woke up this morning and restarted the I was having the same problem. I changed my desktop background and everything on my desktop then disappeared. When I look at my desktop folder all the items are there but I can't see anything on my actual desktop. Any ideals on what to do? Thanks a lot,

Rick Riley

*Edit*
Somebody was just playing a trick on me and hid all of my items. I've gotten the problem fixed and the person will be repremanded. Thanks,

Rick Riley

hi, i also had the same problem, i have 2 monitors and when i changed the background on my first moniotr (Geforce 4 MX440), everything dissapeared, but nothing dissapeared on the second moniotr, I have now worked round this somehow (can't remember how), but now when i go to display properties, and desktop, I cannot change my background. ARGH! all of them are greyed out. any idea why?
