Good Morning, My computer has been acting strange of late. For the last two days when I go to use the scroll bar or search feature in my mail, a series of dashes appear as if I had depressed that key. Sometimes they keep going and going. When I try to move the scroll bar, it jumps around and spases out.

It appears to be an intermittent problem.

Any ideas if this is software related or otherwise?

Opinons solicited.

Cheers,

CS

Hi, And thank you for your response. I've got Spyware Doctor & the Yahoo Virus protection. I do not run Spyware Doc all the time as it slows the processes down. The firewalls are those provided with XP I believe & with Yahoo.

That's it. CS

That I have not done. I did upgrade about 6 months ago to XP from ME. However, this is the first time I've noticed these problems. Wouldn't they have manifested earlier if the problems were due to the upgrade?

Thanks & Cheers,

CS

Chech the Event Viewer in the Administrative Tools, located in the Control Panel. If you find an error right click on it and select Properties. Post te last 4 error messages here, if any.
