As the error message states, you'll have to pay Microsoft to use Hotmail with your email client.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

FreePOPs is a work around for several webmail base email accounts, including Hotmail, Yahoo, and several others. It will take a little be of reading but you could be downloading Hotmail through Outlook, Outlook Express, or one of the other email clients, in 30 mins. to and hour.

EDIT;

There is also YPOPs for Yahoo.

I've used both (Free Pops and YPops) and find that YPops is easiest to use.

I have used both but currently only use YPOPs. I and grandfathered in with my hotmail account. It is old enough that I can run it through OE out right. I still need YPOPs for my yahoo free account.
