Norton Error

I recieved this error from norton antivirus 2005. norton antivirus has encountered an internal program error. Uninstall and re-install norton antivirus. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes, just make sure to restart and not to have the computer connected to the internet. I do want to bring your attention to the Freeware thread here at bleeping computer, as there are listed antivirus programs that are rated better than norton, and are absolutely free.
