E-mails Getting Stuck In Outbox

Outlook 2000 has all the office updates, had the rule to copy sent e-mails to sent folder. Tried the suggestions from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/195922/ and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/195778/EN-US/

It is sends e-mails only after you send it then clicking on Send/Receive on the toolbar otherwise e-mails sit in Outbox folder.

Anyone know how to fix this?

This is how I do it in 2003 Outlook. Perhaps 2000 is similar?
Tools > Options > Mail setup
Check Send automatically when connected
and/or click the Send/Receive button on that dialog
and click Schedule an automatic send/receive every xxx minutes.

This could be due to outlook runing in offline mode. In the bottom righthand corner of the Outlok window there should be a connection summary. This should sy connected. If not click it and un tick the work offline selection.
