hi there-I've recently resolved issues on both my desktop and laptop with internet access...after those issues were resolved, I haven't been able to print from my laptop.... my desktop is wired to the printer, I have cable modem and netgear wireless router...
the printer on my desktop is clicked to share.....I go on my laptop, click add printer, go to printer wizard, click add a network printer, and then click browse for printer...it then shows "microsoft windows network" in the shared printers window after it browsed....it doesn't do anything when I click that. I didn't set up the printer sharing, geeksquad from bestbuy did when they set up the wireless network, so I don't know how to do anything except what you explicitly tell me to do STEP BY STEP!! I am running widnows xp on both systems.....have tried to browse for possible answers for this, and got misc. directions about printer names, network names, workgroup names...not sure where to find any of this, or what to try!! thanks for any suggestions, but please be patient with me, I don't know alot, so I need step by step!! Thanks! Lori
