Is Spyewareguard still current?

Just wondered if Spywareguard is still worth running? I notice that, both on this forum and SWI, many of the moderators do not mention it anymore on their list of prevention methods. Although I religiously check for updates it has never had an update since I installed it! Is this because it never needs one, or because it has come to the end of its natural anti-spyware life?
