also just remembered that are speakers no longer work(i.e. the turn on but now no sound comes out like something is wrong with the sound card or settings.), also when trying to acces my email and my antivirus tells me that it found a virus it shuts down the internet connection. computer is also extremely slow. all this started 2-3 days ago beginning with the sound not working then the virus warning.

thanks in advance

Copy/paste the following quote box into a new notepad (not wordpad) document. Make sure that wordwrap is turned off.

dir /a /s "C:\*.vbs" > vbssearch.txt
notepad.exe vbssearch.txt
del vbssearch.txt

Save it to your Desktop as search.bat. Save it as:
File Type: All Files (not as a text document or it wont work).
Name: search.bat

Locate search.bat on your Desktop and double-click it. A DOS window will open briefly and then close, this is normal

Once it has finsihed a notepad window will appear, post the contents of that window along with a new HijackThis log as a reply to this topic
