Hi. I am new to this site and know very little in regards to computer viruses and how to remove them.
I've read other posts on removing "yahabags." It's a virus (I assume) that redirects the link I've clicked on whenever I use a search engine.

I know that I have to post my file from hijack this, but in an attempt to be thorough I am hoping somone will clarify how to do so correctly.
I apologize for not knowing. Again, I'm ignorant when it comes to this part of computers.

Thank you in advance,
Julianna

I apologize for not responding sooner, but I was out of town for several days.
I did read and follow all the instructions of the preparation guide.
I will post my Hijack file below as well as a few problems that have just occured recently. I'm hoping that listing these problems will assist in understanding the real problem, though I don't know if they're all related or seperate issues. I've been dealing with "yahabags" for several weeks, and these other problems just for the past week.

Again, thank you for all your help.
Julianna

PROBLEMS:

1. Pop-ups for "virus prevention software" which includes:
SystemDoctor
WinAntiVirus
ErrorSafe
PCTurboPro
PerformanceOptimizer

2. Error message that appears twice after turning on computer. It says:
RUNDLL
C:\Docume~1\HP_Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\watchdlll.dlll
The specified module could not be found
(I thought this might be because I deleted files that were "infected?")

3. When opening Internet Explorer I get several pop-ups. So, I go to TOOLS, click INTERNET OPTIONS, then click PRIVACY. Even though I had set the privacy setting to high, the bar is set to accept ALL cookies. I correct it, but after another pop-up it's set to accept all cookies again. And this continues on and on.

4. This will be hard to explain... Random music and dialogue start playing on my computer. Again, this has never occured until this past week. When it has happened, I've shut down all programs, but it still persists. I cannot identify where it is coming from or with what program it's playing on. None of what is playing are any of my music or video files. It also sounds like it is a video, but there is no visual. I cannot get it to stop, unless I shut down my computer. Although twice it has stopped on its own. I hope that explanation made sense. I have never heard of anything like that before.

I'm sorry my explanations were so long.
Thanks again!

My last message was posted on JULY 31st and has NOT been responded to.
I understand there are other messages to get to, but I am just seeking help for a problem that is growing daily.

I had to run system recovery for my computer because everytime I turned it on it would freeze.
And due to that have lost a lot of my settings and customized features. I do feel like that could have been prevented if someone had responded.

PLEASE let me know if from here I need to obtain a new hijack file or...?

Again, any response at all would be appreciated.

Julianna

The current formatting of your log makes it difficult to read/evaluate.
Open 'Notepad',click on 'Format' at the top, then uncheck 'Word Wrap' if it's checked.

Download Combofix and save to your desktop:
Note:
It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop

Close any open browsers.
Double click on combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When it's finished it will produce a log.
Post the entire contents of C:\ComboFix.txt into your next reply.
Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running.
That may cause the program to freeze/hang.

Do NOT post the ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt unless I ask.

Now go to:
C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Owner\Desktop\adware removal\HijackThis.exe
Right click on Hijackthis.exe and select 'Rename', rename it to abc.bat
Double click on abc.bat(which is still Hijackthis.exe),post that log into your next reply please.
