Well I got my laptop about a year ago, and just recently it has been having this really weird problem(what makes it more strange is that it doesn't happen all the time- just most of the time). Sometimes when I try to click on a desktop icon, all the icons on the desktop will flicker like they are being refreshed. Then when I open up Mozilla(problem also happens in IE) the page will refresh so quick that 'm not able to navigate anywhere. When I trying exploring my computer or the control panel, I will get the hourglass image on the mouse flickering also, so I'm not able to navigate anywhere. When I try to use excel the "Go To" screen in excel constantly pops up right when I hit cancel. I've run virus scans and spyware scans in safe mode and cleaned up what little they found, and the problem keeps persists. This problem also occurs in Safe Mode but not as frequently. Thanks for you time and help.

Thanks, it seems that was the problem. I tried removing the key and cleaning under it to no avail though. So I downloaded a program to disable the f5 key and it working well(except for the fact that the program will quit every 30 min because it's a trial version--so if anyone knows where I can find a good program to diable keys please let me know).
Thanks,
Leber

Hey, even those can be replaced! Albeit, it is harder and more expensive...

What's the name of the program you used to disable the F5 key?

Sometimes blowing the "stuff" from underneath the key with a can of compressed air works -- just use the plastic tube.
The name says it all -- 59 and holding permanently

**WARNING** Links I provide might cause brain damage
