I have a lot of personal information stored on a CD and it is in the form of an Office Data File. It was originally 'notes' in outlook but it's apparently not there anymore. I don't know where to put this without damaging or overwriting other outlook files, so please help. Thanks in advance.

The info vanished from the CD? Outlook normally stores it's info in .PST files, and you'll have to reimport it into Outlook in order to access it.

No, not quite. The info did not vanish from the CD. It vanished from outlook 03 when I upgraded to 07, and now all I have is the CD copy. I have a lot of important things on my 07 outlook, so I would need some way to integrate the two notes files without damaging either. ALL that I need to transfer is notes, and I haven't been able to open the notes from 03 because access is denied for some reason. I would have to put it manually in the program files, and I think that would overwrite the 07 current files or only read either 03 or 07 info, not both at the same time.

2 separate problems here:

1) Ownership of the files. You'll have to copy the PST file to your system and then take ownership of it.
2) Import into Outlook. In Outlook on the File menu is an option to import the files. Follow the dialog and it will give you choices about what to import and where to put it.
