so uh...this is my first post but i've been to this website b4 a lot and i know that the people here can help

My problem is that my Linksys wireless USB adapter (Model #WUSB300N) is making my laptop go haywire... when i try to install the drivers for the adapter as instructed, it freezes up my computer right when it gets to the finish downloaded screen and NOTHING will work right  .I've tried rebooting the laptop with the USB adapter in but Windows will begin booting and then a blank screen shows up...just nothing, not the "blue screen" or anything....just nothing...... I saw a similar post and im pretty sure i have a USB 2.0 port bcuz my laser mouse had that issue and it worked after getting the USB card.....
