I frequently drop in to APPROACH, a local free computing organisation. I made up the following blurb recently and the administration kindly printed it out in A3 and laminated enough copies to put several up in each classroom in each location.

www.bleepingcomputer.com

[Despite the odd name, this is a marvellous spot for users of all ages and abilities to learn or receive help for free.

It comprises over 100,000 members from around the world who are dedicated to providing information and help on a one to one basis. Moderators are on hand at all times to ensure that a family friendly atmosphere is maintained at all times, so you can feel free to ask any question without fear of being 'put down'.

Tutorials covering many everyday topics about your PC are available for browsing at your leisure.

There is a list of free replacements for most commercial applications, as used and recommended by members.

If you become infected by nasties, and most browsing computers do at some stage, a dedicated and highly trained malware removal team will assist you, one to one, in finding the culprit and advising on the best method to clean up your computer.

I recommend you register for free, which only takes a couple of minutes, and you will not be bothered by ads. BC does not sell anything and will never cost you a cent, so what do you have to lose?

Hopefully we will gain a few new members.

Cheers

Cool.

FWIW, I've mentioned the Board at our local computer user's group meetings a few times, too.

I know you think you understand what you thought I said,
but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant!

Very nice Rob
How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook

As I only have one, afraid not KY. LOL

BTW. Looking back I see that I forgot to insert 'www.bleepingcomputer.com' at the beginning of the blurb. If you could edit that in for me. :flowers: Make more sense.
