As a new user with not much expirence with computors, I would like to know how to remove windows vista home premium from my new lap top. I wish to replace it with windows XP.
I hope to completely remove all data from the hard drive and replace it with one of the XP systems.
I want to do this as I am unhappy with the current vista.

CAVEAT: On most store-bought systems this will void your warranty (at least it does in my shop).

That being said, you'll have to obtain all the XP compatible drivers for your system from either the manufacturer or your PC, or from the manufacturer of each device in the PC.

Then you'll have to purchase a full copy of XP (Retail or OEM) and install it on your system. You'll need to format your hard drive completely when doing this, then once XP is installed you'll have to install all of the drivers.
