Hi. My emachines WinXP desktop is acting up, extremely slow (approx 5 mins to execute a command) Celeron 330 chip, 120gb HD with about 80gb free space, 256mb RAM (I know, buy more....). I've installed AdAware, AVG Anti-Spyware, unable to install Spybot S&D (gives an "administrator policies prevent this installation" warning, even though I'm installing while logged on as Admin), all that can be run have been run in Safe Mode and reveal moderate tracking cookies (around 100 per scan). At one time Norton AV used to find a w32 trojan regularly, but no other AV program ever did (including McAfee Stinger, if it's supposed to) and I have no idea whether it's still lurking about. The following HJT log was created in normal boot mode (I usually have about 5 mins before the system slows to a crawl).

Welcome to the BleepingComputer HijackThis Logs and Analysis forum shootr2
My name is Richie and i'll be helping you to fix your problems.

It appears you've no virus protection installed.
Download\install one of the following freeware options from the choice below.
Once installed update its definitions and then run a full system virus scan.

AVG7 Free Edition Antivirus:

Avast! 4 Home Edition:

Avira AntiVir Personal Edition Classic

Please download Combofix and save to your desktop:
It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop

Close any open browsers.
Double click on combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When it's finished it will produce a log.
Post the entire contents of C:\ComboFix.txt into your next reply.
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running.
That may cause the program to freeze/hang.

Also post a fresh Hijackthis log.
