I have mistakenly deleted images from a 256MB Sandisk. I think that there may be software available that can be used to recover the data. Can you recommend something?
Thanks,

I have used PC Inspector File Recovery before, freeware, and seems to work good.
The name says it all -- 59 and holding permanently

Thanks for the previous advice; I downloaded the Smart Recovery software, and it works ok on one of my Compact Flash cards but not on my other card. I am using a PC running Windows 2000 Professional. My problem is that the software will not recognise the card. I suspect that this problem has been caused by the card having previously been read and deleted using a Mac computer running OSX. Can you advise me if there is any way to remedy the situation?

I don't know of any utilities that run on OSX for file recovery, since you deleted/erased the card under OSX you will have to perform the recovery on that OS. You might try posting the question in this forum Linux/Unix since OSX is based on unix.
