I uninstalled some programs not using the add or remove programs and they are still listed. When I try to uninstall them from there it gives me a message that I can't, that the program is gone, but leaves the listing. How do I get rid of these listings? I tried Windows install cleanup - didn't work and I can't seem to find the HKEY_REGISTRY.

Download the program CCleaner then go to the Tools button then Uninstall. You should be able to delete what you want by clicking 'delete entry'.
