For about the past week, not sure, my wireless internet on my laptop will occasionally shut off for about 5 secs. Not sure what causes it, suspect it might be the folding@home application I got roughly around the same time. Out of the last 10 or so times I know it's happened, 8 of the times f@h app was currently running. But the few times I know it's happened when it wasn't on has me worried. I am currently working on a large WU, so I don't want to uninstall it yet to see if it is it.

I have run multiple virus scans with no results. There is the possibility it's because of my parents' modem, but we've had it for over a month and the problem has happened only recently. Also, I've never had this trouble with wireless before. Thank you.
When I'm asking for help, please explain, in detail, every step. Thank you :).
I have nightmares about computer glitches and bugs.

Hi solaris32,

Try Pausing the Folding@Home app for a few days.

Right click on the red Icon, then left click on Pause Work.
Just click on Resume Work to get it folding that WU again.
Chaos reigns within.
Reflect, repent, and reboot.
Order shall return.

I think it's my parent's modem because I'm at a friends, and so far my wireless hasn't shut off. Thanks for the input anyway people.
