> Yahoo Site Explorer for IPB and vBulletin Forums

Yahoo has recently released a beta of their Site Explorer application. This application allows you to enter a a url, whether that be a domain or subset of that domain, and see the pages that are being indexed and how many inbound links there are for it.

This is a great tool as it will allow you to examine the pages for your domain that Yahoo knows about. If you find pages that are not being indexed, you can then submit them for free. Unfortunately, if you have a large site or a forum, then finding the particular urls that are not being indexed can be a tedious if not impossible chore. Luckily, Yahoo allows us to submit a file that contains a list of urls that we want indexed, similar to how Google has sitemaps.

Below are download links for two programs that will create a list of links for your Invision Power Board or Vbulletin forums. In order to use this program you will need PHP.

Simply download the desired file and extract it to your root directory, or any other location you wish. Inside the ysite-explorer.php are instructions of some variables that need to be changed. Then to have the list generated every day or so, set up a cron job for it.

I have created a support topic for the Yahoo Site Explorer Listing Creator which can be found here:
