Remove PC Defender (Uninstall Guide)Posted by Lawrence Abrams on February 19, 2010 @ 05:55 PM · Views: 10,444
What this infection does: PC Defender is a rogue anti-spyware program that is installed through Trojans. The Trojan installer pretends to be a program that is needs to be installed before you can view an online video. Once you install the Trojan it will download and install PC Defender on to your computer without your permission. When the rogue is installed it will be configured to start automatically when you login to Windows. Once running, PC Defender will scan your computer and list a variety of infections. It will not allow you to remove any of these infections, though, until you first purchase the program. In reality, the infections it shows are legitimate Windows files that if you delete could cause your computer to not operate properly. Therefore, please do not act upon any of the scan results this program may show you.
Without a doubt, PC Defender Center was created to scam you out of your money by making you think your computer has a security problem. Do not purchase this program, and if you already have, please contact your credit card company and dispute the charges. Last, but not least, to remove this program and any related malware, please use the removal guide below.
